Can you inject seasonings in oil rather than a marinade? I'm concerned the holes will clog during use. Hole size?

We inject oils and butter mixtures all the time. The perforated needle can handle these along with some spices as long as they have dissolved and the slant tip can handle spices and herbs as long as they have been chopped finely.

Hi,

The injector has Three different types of needles. The needle with the 12 holes is mainly for liquid marinades and the holes are a tad more than a 1/16.... The slant tip needle is the one you would want to use for what your talking about... Last weekend I injected a garlic and herb butter (not melted) in to a chicken. The hole on the slant tip needle is a little more than an 1/8" So I would say yes. The third needle is a 3" precision needle for smaller cuts of meat.

Just have her spray with cooking spray or rub some oil on the oring after washing the injector.
